Family Events North of Toronto for August 17, 18, 19

Parents looking for family and kids summer fun can find many options for sun, adventure, excitement, music, good food, and more happening North of Toronto this weekend. Below you can find a quick list of #ontariofamilyfriendly events.


Barrie
Caribfest: Caribfest will entertain, using the vibrant and dynamic sights, sounds and tastes of the Caribbean. Event features live entertainment, food and merchandise vendors, costume parade and much more.
Ontario Trailblazing Festival: (Oro-Medonte) The IMBA Ontario Trailblazing Festival is coming to Hardwood Ski and Bike.

Dockside Festival: Bringing the "Dock" back on side, shop the dock at the 21st Annual Dockside Festival located at the Muskoka Wharf. In combination with the Steamship Festival held Uptown there will be more than enough shopping for everyone including: Entertainment, Prizes to be won, and the list goes on, so as they say "Shop till you Drop" and be sure to put this incredible THREE DAY shopping weekend on your calendar .
(Uptown)Steamship Festival: Steamship Festival in Uptown Gravenhurst combines forces with the renowned Dockside Festival. The 'Largest Shopping Extravaganza' in Muskoka with over 90 shopping locations Uptown and 80 Artisans and Craftspeople to browse at the Wharf. Admission is free Uptown and there is a shuttle provided back and forth to the Dockside on Saturday.

Haliburton
County Fair:
There's something for everyone at the Haliburton County Fair! Taking place at the Minden Fairgrounds.

In honor of International Geocaching Day, the Delawana Inn Spa & Conference Resort would like to invite you to join us for a day of geocaching in southern Georgian Bay. We have over 20 geocaches within 5 miles of the resort. Some accessible by car, others only accessible by boat.

Summerfolk Music and Crafts Festival: On the shores of Georgian Bay,the Summerfolk Festival provides 50+ musical acts featured on 10 stages including 85+ workshop sessions throughout the park.

Penetanguishene
Out of the Blue Festival: a celebration of local arts (arts, crafts, music & food) offering a wide range of activities to promote public participation and encouraging discovery for people of all ages. Blue Suede Shoes, Memories of the King: Relive the hits of an American icon who transformed popular music with a hip-swiveling, lip-curling salute to the King of Rock 'n Roll, Elvis Presley. At the King's Wharf Theatre.

Wasaga Beach
History Come Alive
Wasaga Under Siege: On august 17, 18 and 19 come to Nancy Island and relive one of Wasaga's most exciting historical re-enactments: The War of 1812. Wasaga Under Siege is a family friendly festival celebrating our rich Canadian heritage. Nancy Island will come to life once again with the roar of cannons and musket fire, echoing history through the streets and waters of Wasaga Beach Provincial Park and Nancy Island Historic Site.

Washago
Raising the Roof Music Festival
