Weekend Family Fun Guide North of Toronto for November 15-17

The Christmas Holiday season is pretty much here! While some businesses will wait to turn on the holiday music in stores until December 1st, there is no escaping the holiday spirit, even if your name is Grinch. If you have kids, this not a bad thing. Parents gain bargaining power when it comes to behaviour and have a long list of events and activities to choose from when it comes weekend family entertainment. Family fun weekend events are listed below this blog.

Most areas north of Toronto have been getting a varying amounts of snow this week. It's not quite time to break out the skates and skis yet, but it is time to plan for that! Many ski operators have turned on the snow guns and are working around the clock to put enough white stuff on the hills and trails to get people moving and winter grooving! Parents can get all the links to ski and snowboard related members' information here:

*This page lists ski operators north of Toronto with direct links to snow and trail conditions, web cams, rates and pass information, ski school info and more! This page is definitely deserving of a bookmark! Get to know it now and this page will be your best friend.

Weekend Family Fun Guide North of Toronto for November 8-10

Let's just say if you live in Toronto or the GTA, you may seriously be wishing to get your family away from the drama this weekend. Head north to quieter areas and find lots of great events, activities and even getaways that will entertain your family. Or if you live north of the city, mix things up head out for a road trip and discover what's happening outside of your own community.

If your family loves hockey, we certainly suggest the OHL Game Package to Clarion Pinewood Resort in North Bay. Games are scheduled for Thursday and Sunday. If you can take a long weekend, it's worth checking out if your family loves watching a good hockey game. The hotel also has an indoor which is always a winner when it comes to keeping the kids busy when staying in a hotel.

Remembrance day is Monday, November 11. There are definitely activities and other things you can do that are age appropriate when it comes to Remembrance Day

No matter your holiday beliefs, a kid's Christmas Holiday Tradition includes a Santa Claus parade (or more than one!). From here on in until about mid-December, you can catch a Santa Claus Parade every weekend in small cities and towns north of Toronto. Parades usually have a theme and are a great family event to attend. Some parades coincide with annual holiday tree lightings, complete with caroles and hot chocolate! You can also visit our website if you're more in the mood for shopping, as craft shows and holiday bazaars also begin to appear in the calendar this weekend.
